Aphrodite is a beautiful but selfish god. She has been cheating on her husband, Hephaestus, with his brother, Ares, for years. Her son Eros is sick of this and tells Zeus. Zeus sends sends Aphrodite and Dionysus to find Heracles, because they need him to win the war. Aphrodite is attacked by a giant after they find Heracles. He saves her and they rush to the war. During the war Hephaestus jumps in the way of a giants blow, protecting Aphrodite. She is taken by his courage and love for her and promises to try to make it work with him.

Aphrodite has to be beautiful and selfish, and also somewhat childish. But she also sees what she is doing, and feels guilty, but just doesn't quite know how to stop. She needs more depth than just being a skank. I love Diane and I loved her as the most beautiful woman, Helen, in Troy, and I think Aphrodite would be similar to that in a lot of ways. I think Diane could bring the beauty and the depth to this character.

Her animal companion is a dove.
